Patience

After Patiently waiting for her little seed to sprout she saw tiny green leaves emerge from the ground.  She asked her Grandma Addellene how much longer before my pumpkin will grow.  Grandma Addellene looked at her and said "Child if the river keeps moving and the creek don't rise your pumpkin will be here soon baby"  Patience kept tending to her little sprout as it grew and grew a vine stretch out a long the garden in the back of the house where her mom and grandmother garden plantings for fall harvest rested.  They always knew just the right time to plant and just before the first frost all the kids would help picked the greens while older women prepared them for canning.  The one cool fall afternoon Patience eyes grew with excitement sticking out from all the other plantings was her long awaited pumpkin.  She was so excited and screamed with Joy for everyone to come see her beautiful pumpkin.  Grandma Addellene said to her "now baby I am going to teach you how to make your very first pie"

The Storm is over and it Brought Patience

Hello Everyone! I pray that all who had to deal with the hurricane has made it through okay.  I didn't loose any power.  We only experienced a lot of heavy winds and rain.  Though waiting for it all to go away it brought about Patience she emerges slowly and with it she has reminded me of Patience although she has a little ways to go Patience sits without any fuss and waits for whatever else there is to come her way.  Patience has a warm spirit as you will see later on.....

No More Changes Stick A Stuffing Tool In Her She Is Done

I have changed this girls clothes 4 times she is done lol.  She has been so fussy until I can't deal with her anymore she needs to get out of my house ASAP.  I really don't believe she likes it here with me.  All the other girls sit patiently as I make their clothes and once they are dressed no complaints.  Not Lizzy she fussed over every single thing I put on her then I said you know what your getting a simple little dress and a wrap to keep you warm because I don't know where you will be going but you got to get of here. 

She had the nerve to grab a few eggs to take along with her good thing those eggs are hard because they probably wouldn't survive the trip.  Anyone interested in giving Lizzy a home please email me.  It is raining pretty bad here so I couldn't take her outdoors for pictures.

Earthquakes and Rag Muffins Who Knew

Hello Everyone today we just experienced a Earthquake here in Maryland I was outside taking pictures when I felt it. I am so glad it was not horribly bad just scary.  I hope everyone is okay here on the east coast.
This is a picture of my newest Rag Muffin up for sale.  I have not put her in my shop yet.  She is 26 inches long, she sits very nicely on her own.  I have partially stuffed her with rags so she has a very nice hefty feel to her.  Her dress is made from Quilt Shop Quality Fabric. She has sculpted toes, and also I have felted in soft sheep wool for her hair.  If you are interested in her just send me an email her price is 75.00 plus travel fare.

Rag Muffin Makeover

Happy Friday all I made it through another week of sewing.  I also have been going back over unfinished projects that just had been tossed into the I don't know what to do pile.  This particular Rag Muffin I was not too happy with how she turned out in the beginning and I am still not sure about her.  The fabric is gorgeous not to mention I spent a pretty penny for it but I just can't put my finger on it.  I may just have to let her go without the pinafore and make something else to match the pinafore. 

Sew between making dolls today I am going to stop and clean my shameless mess that I have around me.  No I will not show you but maybe I will show my space off after it is all cleaned up.  Have a great day all

Naked Women and Rainy Days

Morning Ladies excuse me while I yawn lol this rain is so refreshing but it has me sleepy.  I only had one cup of coffee maybe by the time I start on my second cup my other eyelid will open up fully.  I have four naked women in this room starring at me to clothed their shameless bodies. 

These two agreed to be photographed but only if I covered up their chest.  The one in the flowered outfit is so darn fussy trying to find a match for her skirt so she will having to sit and wait just tad longer besides my brain is not on full speed right now so I will work on the girl on the right the fabric covering her will be a pinafore.

I have been asked many times do I make clothes for people and my answer is no.  Years ago I did but that was back in the late 70's during my hippie days.  I soon changed that when a few times of making dresses and the clients would either gain or loose weight .  That's another lovely thing about a doll they sit and patiently wait and love everything you put on them without a fuss and not weight gain lol.  Well let me correct that because I swear it has happened a few times after dressing a doll and she fussed because the outfit just wasn't looking right on her, or was it just me lol. 

So off I go to make another cup of coffee, speaking of which I am in search of a percolator you know the kind when you was a kid you could see the coffee bouncing up and down in to the glass knob.  Tired of my coffee maker and I believe it's tired of me also lol Have a great day all
