Update

Hello Sweet Friends I am getting there the paint has been applied yippee! but now I have to wait 3 days before I can use chalk on it.

Let me share something with you also about the paint.  I purchased mines from Home Depot for 9.99 which for the life of me I don't understand the double pack of the same 30 oz can being 24,99, now if your not a shopper pays close attention you will end up spending an extra 5 bucks.

The space I added the paint to is 5' 4 inches in length and 30 inches wide.  Using two coats I have only used less than a third of the can.  I surfed a few other places before deciding to by it from Home Depot and to my surprised Home Depot price was far more cheaper.  My next project in this tiny Studio is to paint these night stands white and add these knobs pictures below

I think this might have to wait though until spring lol you know how that goes you start on a new project and make double work for yourself that is what is going to happen when I decide to paint these night stands.  I use them to store more junk umm I mean delicious supplies for the creative artist.  I do not have the guts to open them to let you see the inside of them lol.

Work Continues Studio/Office

Hello Sweet Friends, this is a quickie lol I am sharing with you my progress of my Chalk Board. 

I did not want to use the Chalk Board paint on the walls.  It is time consuming to remove it later.  I know I am part of this big decorating fade that is going on right now using Chalk Board paint.  Who knows next year it could be something else but for the moment I am in love with all the different designs I have seen using this paint.  I will show updates once this is all done.

I will be busy the rest of this month doing shows for Black History Month.  I am very excited about one in particular I have been asked to speak on my dolls and about myself as an Artist.  Wow imagine that me an Artist lol.  I just love doing what I do and love sharing it with others I will also show you what I have done later along with lots of pictures from each show.

Work Still Going on in the Studio pt2

Hello Everyone yes I am still working on this small space I call a office/studio lol.  Here are some photos of what I have done so far.  Will have my newest Mammy done sometime next week.

 The nightstands I stacked them holding my printer I am going to paint white and the wall with the pictures I will make a frame almost the size of the wall and use chalk board paint to cover it.  So it will look like one giant chalkboard. 

Well there is still more to do and so far I am loving the switch of curtains it is much more brighter in here now and my new Pink desk is sew perfect.  Have a great day everyone

Foot Stool

Greetings just a shorty of a post today and some random photos.  I am just about done with my foot stool but it still seems as though something is missing just can't seem to put my finger on it just yet but here she is

For now I think I am going to let her be.  I still have so many more projects to accomplish for 2012.  My little Boudoir is coming along.  Still on the list of things to do in here are Drapery and Blinds, I wish Candice http://hookedonhouses.net/2010/05/13/all-about-candice-olson-her-divine-designs/

could magically appear at my house and say go stay at the hotel for a week and when you come back you will have the room of your dreams.  This room is just Gorgeous!!  Be still my heart but a girl can dream and dreams do come true.

This is a sweet birthday gift I received of a vintage manicure set from the 50's like me lol  wow I am a whole 55 Years old now

Projects and More Projects

Greetings Everyone! I would like to thank everyone for the Birthday Wishes and the Blessings left on the passing of my Granddad.  My Birthday was relaxing I made myself a cake lol It started off with the plan of being a lemon curd coconut cake but ended up being a lemon cake with butter cream lemon frosting with coconut and lemon curd in the middle I know a bit much but it was delightful. 

As you can see from the photos below of my tiny Kitchen I am having hardwood flooring installed.   The flooring that was down before was laminate that was poorly installed.  There were times you would have to kick the pieces back together.  I don't know who installed the floor but they should never be allowed to install another floor again.  The type of wood flooring I am putting down now is called engineer flooring it is great because it can be installed almost over any type of sub flooring even concrete. It is more durable than regular wood so it makes it also great for kitchens you don't have to worried about it being damage with water.  So this is the first of many projects to be done in Americas tiniest kitchen. 

Now moving on to my next project this one I am doing myself  hehe.   This footstool sat in front of my vanity

but after time as passed it is time for a change.  Plus there is this idea in my head that I know will be fabulous when I am done. But look at what I had to go through to remove this cover

What a mess!! and to make even worse what a piece of JUNK!!! I don't remember how much I paid for this little stool but it was too much money after seeing all of this.  There were tons of staples and then it was cover with something that looked like a sock lol I don't know what the heck that thing was but any who this is what I am going to cover it with

I am looking for some old rhinestone pieces of jewelry to make a center button.  I will show updates on this one when it's all done.  Next is a project I want to try that I found in Create and Decorate Magazine.  I have had this sewing basket for sometime now.

Well Ladies time for me to go visiting more of you I am still catching up.  Then off to more creating.  This year will be a year of Creating for me One Idea At A Time.  Have a Wonderful Evening
