Today I will share with you one of my FAVORITE dolls. She is my favorite for many here reasons. Some of which are I brought the first one back in the 70's for my daughter and my two sisters. At that time which is one of my other reasons I think I was um what you would call an undercover doll lover lol. Funny now that I think back to those days. Yes I am guilty of being ashamed of still loving dolls as an adult. I had no idea during those times that grown women actually collected dolls and some even played with them.
I shamefully have to admit I used my darling daughter as an excuse to purchase dolls that just brought sheer delight to my heart. My first Rag doll I mean my daughters first Rag doll was Holly Hobby aww gosh that was one of the sweetiest dolls. When Baby Crissy came out I couldn't get to Toys R Us fast enough to grab one for um my daughter for Christmas. I decided to get my two sisters one as well. My daughter loved dolls but not as much as um I did lol. So she only played with them from time to time. Later on through the years my sisters held on to theirs but I don't know what happened to my daughters. I guess some where between moves it got lost. About 8 years ago I had given my mom a call and asked her about the dolls and yes they still reside at her house. But no she wouldn't let me have not one of them matter of fact it sorta started a argument between us...sigh. So with the help of the doll angels I found a Baby Crissy that was mint in box and I could PROUDLY call her my doll. Here are some details and pictures about her. The other day I took her out the curio and dressed her in a vintage baby dress and bonnet I think I will leave her out with me for awhile to enjoy.
I found This Article On Baby Crissy I have the re issued version. The ones I purchased for my daughter and sisters was the 1973 release. It is great to Collect dolls and even more wonderful to make and be able to share them.
Peace and Blessings
