UPDATE ON GIVE AWAY

Hello everyone, due to lack of participants I am going to extend the deadline for the Give Away until October 8th.  I need to get the word out more about it.  I have placed it on my Face Book page but many was not aware of it. 

Let me tell you a little about the doll.  She is 27 inches when laid out flat.  I used tons of a gorgeous lambs wool for her hair.  It has colors of autumn is the best way to explain it.  Her body is made from Kona cotton.  She has sculpted feet and a painted face. Her dress is made of cotton and is embellished with vintage buttons and a black velvet ribbon.  She also comes with a pail that I painted and added candy corns made from osanaburg fabric.  This was listed in my Esty shop for 65.00 dollars.  I wish all participants luck in winning this doll.

Oh I finally finished the curtains for my room and I brought a storage bench to use.  It works out great its just the right height for sewing and it holds my bolts of fabric that I was storing in a old fiber fill box.  Still a few more things to do in here and I am still not wanting to do anything with the floor lol.  This room is so small for all I have to do in here.  Okay I gotten off the subject lol.  This is the second time I have given away a doll, my first doll went to Char over at The Pickled Pepper Patch http://charsethman.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-prize-arrived.html As you can see my dolls have changed a lot since that time.

RAG MUFFINS RAG MUFFINS

Hello Beautiful People it is such a wonderful day.  The Pictures above are of two Rag Muffins that I am working on they are are almost complete and I will have them listed in my Etsy Shop this week.

The weather is so beautiful and soon my favorite season will be casting it's Autumn Glow how wonderful that will be cool crisp air and all the warm rich colors of the trees dressing the land.  It is also a time when it seems my creative juices begin to explode.  I start looking forward to holidays seasons.  Now that I have bored you with my moment of daydreaming I will get down to the details on the GIVE AWAY!

Rag Muffin Now Listed in Esty Shop

RAG MUFFINS

Hello Sweet Friends, Let me introduce you to something I am now working on along with my other dolls.  I have been dreaming a lot lately about my Mum who passed away last November and although I still have not yet mourned who her passing here lately she has been in my dreams. Not all of the dreams been bad some just as though she was sending me some type of message.  I don't know all I know my dreams have been filled with her. 

My last dream happened a few days ago and I won't get into it way too long to talk about but I woke up with the words Rag Muffin. When I was a very young child my Mum would tell me that an outfit that I had on that was just not right to her pleasing and she would say "Oh go take that off looking like a little Old Rag Muffin.  It then came to me later that day while working on a doll that I had changed at least 4 times to end up with what I have now.

 I guess this is my interpretation of a Rag doll.  I love it!  The one in purple is waiting on me to decide what type of hair to use on her.  Have a Great Day all!  I am still getting the details together for my GIVE AWAY

I JUST COULDN'T HELP MYSELF

Hello everyone I thought I share a few things with you today.  As I had mentioned before that in the middle of making dolls I am still working on my little creative studio. 

Yesterday I went shopping and look at what I brought.  The Lamp shade I was not leaving the store without, it is so darn perfect.  It didn't have a price on it and I asked the sells lady how much was it.  She replied and a not so nice way "We don't sell shades without the lamp"  So asked her what lamp does the shade goes with her response was "It one of the tall type lamps" So I did a walk through of the store no lamp no where to be found that went with the shade, I was not about to give up on getting the shade.  So off I went back to her again ugh! I asked well would the manager think of selling the shade to me anyway since there is no lamp...her response "I don't know. The manager is around here in the store somewhere he is tall guy":  I stood there with a really puzzled look as my eyes took a quick scan of the store hmm there are a lot of tall men walking around in the store grrrr.  So I asked her well could you please page for the manager, she turns around looks at me and says I have no way of doing this.  I should also mention that I am in Marshalls.  Oh well any who I was not leaving the store so I went browsing so more and finally I spotted him.  I told him the whole thing I just went through with the sales clerk.  He didn't say anything to me just walked around and I guess also looked for the lamp, then went to the storage area of the store I saw him climbing up on some shelves I guess looking for the lamp.  He left out of there and went into another storage area and came out with a yellow sticker and stuck 7 bucks on the lamp.  After that all I went through didn't even matter anymore because I have my lamp shade.

Now on to some more great news.  Remember I said if one of my older dolls was to get sold I would be having a GIVE AWAY!! well Ladies That is what I am going to do.  I will list everything next week so stay tuned I will let you know that it will be something made by me.  That is all I am going to say right now, I want to keep you in suspense hehe.

STILL WORKING LIKE A BUSY BEE

I thought I would stop by and let you all know that I have not forgotten my sweet friends.  I have been so busy working on my dolls lately.  This time instead of working on one doll I am working on several at a time.  I know crazy huh?  But it seems to be working for me, when I get stuck on what to do next on one doll the idea for another seems to come to mind.  This is making it a slow process but I am not rushing through them.  Here are some pictures on my work in progress these two are just about finished so this weekend I will have 3 dolls listed in my shop.

I have also decided that dolls made from Osnaburg fabric I will use for my more primitive dolls and the others will be made from regular muslin fabric.  Sew as Sam would say the dolls made from the regular muslin fabric some will have faces.  Just a different type of doll from what you are use to seeing me do.  My heart is really into my primitive folkart type dolls, they are my passion, heart and soul.
